In March 2026, Westwell achieved normal autonomous operations under Zero-GNSS conditions across its fleet at CSP Abu Dhabi Terminal (CSP ADT) at Khalifa Port, marking a further step in the development of smart autonomous container handling in the region. The milestone builds on Westwell’s automation program operations at CSP ADT, with the fleet consisting of 12 Q-Trucks and six Q-Chassis (IGV). The GNSS-independent operation combines LiDAR, odometry, and inertial measurement unit (IMU) data to maintain vehicle localization and navigation without GNSS input, demonstrating CSP ADT’s progression towards more intelligent autonomous container handling.
