SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch direct flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport beginning November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times each week, further strengthening the air links between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already connects Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers with access to two different airports serving Amman. The new service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. Its return, G9 170, will depart Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reach Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now open via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was officially announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first scheduled flight.
This new route from Sharjah enhances the Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan network. The group already operates flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Specifically, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi connects Zayed International Airport to both Queen Alia International Airport and Amman City Airport. Additionally, the airline flies directly from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The new service from Sharjah offers travelers an additional departure point to reach Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
The CEO of Air Arabia Group, Adel Al Ali, highlighted that the new service provides passengers with an alternative airport option in Amman. He stated that this addition will enhance convenience and flexibility for travelers moving between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will maintain its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway for Jordan on Air Arabia’s Sharjah route.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi began flights to Amman City Airport. Starting May 1, the airline offered three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Before adding the second Amman airport, Abu Dhabi already served Queen Alia International Airport. According to Air Arabia, the expanded Abu Dhabi schedule provided a total of 10 weekly flights to Amman when the new service started. The same two-airport approach will now be implemented in Sharjah.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Air Connectivity
Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 service codes. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, which serve its extensive network. Onboard amenities include SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers are encouraged to book the new Amman City Airport service via the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of the November launch.
This November deployment expands Air Arabia Group’s connectivity options between the UAE and Jordan through multiple bases. Passengers departing from Sharjah will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi already offers service to both Jordanian airports, and Alexandria maintains a direct connection to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah will add four weekly flights, broadening the airline’s Jordan schedule.
