SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to launch direct flights linking Sharjah with Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, establishing a new route between the UAE and the northern region of Poland. The airline plans to operate five weekly services between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new route will provide travelers in Poland’s Pomeranian area with a direct air connection to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and reaches Gdansk by 8 p.m. Conversely, flight G9 0629 leaves Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will depart Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

This new service will make Gdansk Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah following the carrier’s announced December expansion. The airline already connects Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE. Additionally, flights to Katowice will commence on December 17, 2026, just three days after the Gdansk route begins. The Katowice service will run four times weekly, further expanding the airline’s presence in Poland’s schedule.

Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland

Adding Gdansk to its network, Air Arabia extends its European network from Sharjah to include a Baltic coast destination. The airline’s European routes also cover major cities such as Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City region, which includes Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland, offering both domestic and international flights for leisure and business travelers alike.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia, expressed that the new Gdansk route would bolster the airline’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the significance of the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a hub for onward connections to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, passengers from Gdansk will benefit from expanded access to Air Arabia’s network via its Sharjah base.

Five flights per week planned to launch in December

Air Arabia operates its routes using Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and has already opened bookings for the Gdansk route. The schedule lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 designated for the return journeys. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will utilize flight G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are in local time, and the route will be nonstop in both directions.

The route’s commencement on December 14 will expand Air Arabia’s direct Polish network ahead of the launch of its Katowice service. With already operating flights to Krakow and Warsaw, the addition of Gdansk and Katowice in December will give the airline four destinations in Poland from Sharjah. Gdansk will see five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four flights per week under the announced schedule. The airline continues to confirm December 2026 as the start date for Gdansk with a five-flight weekly timetable.
